The Tuner Internet Radio application provides a great way to listen to your favorite internet radio broadcasts on the go. It comes preloaded with a bunch of streams that you can bookmark, and you can also add your own.

You can listen over WiFi, 3G, and EDGE. It has been my experience with EDGE though to stick to streams 64k and less. Supported stream formats: AAC+, MP3, PLS, M3U and premium authenticated streams.

If you have a wired tuner system in your vehicle you can attach your iPhone or iPod Touch and stream directly to your car stereo as well! Check out the gallery below to see the functionality in action.

If you have ever been in a car, a store, a bar, or anywhere with music and you have heard a song that you know you’ve heard before, but couldn’t figure out the name of the song, Shazam is for you.  All you have to do is open up Shazam while there is a song playing around you that you want to know the name of and select “Tag Now”.  Then you will see the “Listening” come up.  Once you see a full circle form, Shazam will then show “Sending”.  Within about 30 seconds from start to finish (at most) you will receive your answer to that ever-frustrating question “WHO SINGS THIS SONG?!”…  Shazam baby.
